Skinny Ships
Richard Perez AKA Skinny Ships redesigned the album covers in his own style for his favorite records released in 2010.  …some excellent use of typography.

Kerned Events
Joe Newton, one of the authors of Kerned Events has gone under my type radar for far too long.  Kerned Events is a blog where Joe will take headlines and current events and create typographic renderings of them using some very nice typefaces.  This to me is reminiscent of Wordage Weekly, or my moleskines. I’m totally digging Kerned Events!!

Dana Tanamachi
Dana Tanamachi works at Louise Fili, and fills the shoes that that position requires quite well.  Her installations and chalk murals are inspiring. I think I’m going to try to start doing this in Columbus!

Up Front: Why Criticism Matters
This was the Illustrated image to associate with a small article “Up Front: Why Criticism Matters” in the New York Times recently.  I happen to love it!  The article is an investigation into the function and craft of criticism.  Interesting reading.
